DC Trip Update: Day 1

Our 2016 DC trip is underway!  We met at the airport early this morning, and two flights later, we landed in our nation's capital.  We had a busy afternoon once we landed on this cold and wet day (made us feel right at home!).

At the Vietnam Memorial, we found the name of a man from Cornelius, OR that had been killed in action.

The Vietnam Women's Memorial exemplified the qualities of faith, hope, and charity.

The Lincoln Memorial was inspiring, while also giving us shelter from the rain.

We wrapped up our day with the Korean War Memorial.

We were even visited by a hawk that was experiencing the memorial in his own way.
